Judge Arthur Vandelay is a judge for Latham, Massachusetts. He is an older man similar to many real-life judges. He presided over the main characters' (Jerry, George, Elaine, and Kramer) trial in The Finale, Part 2. When George sees the judge's name, he believes it to be a good omen, as Art Vandelay was an alias that George used throughout the series.
Art listens to the witnesses testify against the four, and also hears the pleas from them; he does not have many lines. George's mom, Estelle Costanza, attempted to sleep with him in exchange for George's not having to go to prison; however, Art did not keep his side of the "deal."
Ultimately, the Jury finds the New York Four guilty, and Judge Vandelay sentences them to a year in prison. Arthur Vandelay is portrayed by Stanley Anderson.
