De-gifting is the act of taking a gift back. When Jerry learned that Tim Whatley re-gifted, he attempted to de-gift his Super Bowl tickets, which did not work. Tim then de-gifted a ticket from Newman and then Elaine. This led to Jerry and Newman attending Super Bowl XXIX.
