The Streak

  • First mentioned in episode 73 "The Masseuse", when Jerry claims he has not vomited since June 29, 1980. This episode aired November 18, 1993, so the streak lasted about 13 years and 5 months.

The Cookie That Ended It

The Scene Before the Streak Ends

  • Jerry (Takes a bite out of the cookie): Mmm! The thing about eating the black-and-white cookie, Elaine, is you want to get some black and some white in each bite. Nothing mixes better than vanilla and chocolate, and yet somehow racial harmony eludes us. If people would only look to the cookie, all our problems would be solved.

Elaine: Your views on race relations are fascinating. You really should do an op-ed piece for the Times.

Jerry: Mmm, mmm. Look to the cookie, Elaine. Look to the cookie. (Holds up cookie to acknowledge an African-American man eating the same type of cookie)

Later, Jerry ends the streak by rushing to the bathroom and spewing out his glory.

However, Jerry is seemingly either lying about his non-vomit streak or has forgotten about previous breaks in the streak, given that in the episode titled “The Dog”, Elaine responds to George's question "Have you ever seen him throw up?" with gestures that suggest that she has. Elaine has only lived in New York City for 6 years.
