Meryl is a woman that Jerry dated in "The Wife"; in a sense she is the title character. In the episode Meryl refers to herself as Jerry's wife so that she can be a part of his dry cleaning discount. They break up when Jerry "cheats" on Meryl by letting another woman use the discount. Their parting words are "We'll always have... pancakes," a reference to Casablanca. Meryl was played by Courteney Cox.
