Mike Moffitt is a friend of Cosmo Kramer's who calls Jerry Seinfeld a "phony" and fights with George Costanza over the "dream spot" in front of Jerry's apartment in the episode "The Parking Space". Jerry later confronts him about this, and Mike then pretends that he meant "phony" as slang for "cool", the way "bad" can actually mean "good".

Mike appears again in "The Susie", as a bookie. Kramer places a bet with him under Jerry's name and when he wins Mike doesn't have the money to pay; so Jerry calls him a "phony." He asks for more time and helps Jerry take bags out of his car's trunk. Jerry says the trunk isn't working right and Mike offers to take a look, but Jerry accidentally closes the trunk on his thumbs, breaking them. Kramer says Mike told him he's now afraid of Jerry, before he appears with his hands bandaged, then offers to fix Jerry's trunk to make it even. While inside Jerry's car trunk, Kramer backs into Jerry's car and the trunk closes on him. From there, he later overhears Jerry and Elaine's conversation about her imaginary colleague Susie, misinterpreting Jerry's suggestion to eliminate her. Jerry and Elaine then laugh outrageously upon reading a bumper sticker (unseen by the audience). At Susie's memorial, Peterman's car taps Jerry's Saab which causes the trunk to open, freeing him. He therefore bursts into the memorial, saying she didn't commit suicide; she was murdered by Jerry Seinfeld. Jerry replies to Elaine's nemesis, Peggy, "Not only that, I broke his thumbs."

Mike is played by Lee Arenberg.
