Anthony Wilford Brimley, known professionally as Wilford Brimley, was an American actor. He only appeared once on Seinfeld, as Postmaster General Henry Atkins in "The Junk Mail". Diagnosed with diabetes in 1979, Wilford became an advocate in raising awareness of the disease. For his lifetime of service, he was recognized with an award from the American Diabetes Association in 2008. He appeared in commercials for Liberty Medical, at whose headquarters he was recognized with the award. Wilford Brimley passed away on August 1, 2020 at the age of 85.
