Anthony Wilford Brimley, known professionally as Wilford Brimley, was an American actor and singer. He only appeared once on Seinfeld as Henry Atkins in "The Junk Mail". Diagnosed with diabetes in 1979, Brimley became an advocate in raising awareness of the disease. For his lifetime of service, he was recognized with an award from the American Diabetes Association in 2008. He appeared in commercials for Liberty Medical, at whose headquarters he was recognized with the award. Brimley passed away on August 1, 2020 at the age of 85.
